What are the official dates of the 2024 CLC?

The 2024 CLC will cover 2.5 days, from Tuesday, May 21, 2024 to Thursday, May 23, 2024. 

 

What is the location of the 2024 CLC? 

The conference will take place at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown, in Cleveland, Ohio.

What are my options for transportation to/from the airport? 

You can travel from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) to the Hilton Cleveland Downtown via train, rideshare, or taxi. Please click here for more details about each transportation option. 

 

Is there parking available nearby? 

If you are planning to drive yourself to/from the conference, the Hilton Cleveland Downtown offers self-parking and valet parking. See prices below. 

  • Overnight Self-Parking: $38 per night, not including tax 
  • Overnight Valet Parking: $48 per night, not including tax 

Parking for self-park is located at 1141 West 3rd St, Cleveland, OH 44114. Please note that when self-parking, there are convenient, reserved spots on the second level specifically for hotel guests. If unavailable, please feel free to park in any available, unmarked spot in the garage.

Who typically attends the Climate Leadership Conference? 

The CLC brings together the nation’s leading decision-makers, practitioners, and thought leaders in the areas of climate, energy, and sustainability. The makeup of the 2023 CLC attendees was 53% business executives, 24% government officials, and 23% academics and non-profit professionals. 

 

Does the conference have a dress code? 

All conference attendees are expected to wear business attire. 

 

How can my organization become a sponsor, partner, or an exhibitor? 

Whether your goal is to connect with key decision-makers, increase brand awareness, or promote your initiatives, the CLC is the perfect platform. Sponsors reinforce their brands as environmental leaders by maximizing their visibility before, during, and after the conference.

Do you offer volunteer opportunities for students? 

Yes! Each year we select a small number of undergraduate and graduate students studying environmental sciences, sustainability, climate change, energy issues, and/or related disciplines, to participate in this volunteer program. Current full-time students are eligible to join us as volunteers at the 2024 CLC.

Volunteers are expected to work for the entire conference, approximately 4-6 hours per day for 3 days. In exchange, volunteers will receive complimentary registration to the conference, which includes access to all conference sessions, meals, networking breaks, and receptions, including the Welcome Reception, which will be held at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum. Volunteers are responsible for their own travel and accommodations for the duration of the conference.

What are the 2024 CLC registration rates?

This year, we are offering registration for the All-Access Conference Pass, Tuesday-Only Day Pass, and the Climate Leadership Awards Dinner Only. 

 

I have a discount code but the registration form will not accept it. Why? 

We are sorry you are having difficulties with the registration form. Discount codes may not be accepted for the following reasons: 

  1. Discount codes will NOT be accepted during the Fall Special and Best Rate periods, and therefore, will be accepted beginning on February 5, 2024. If you are trying to use a discount code before February 5, 2024, it will not apply. 
  2. Discount codes can only be applied to All-Access Conference Passes. If you are trying to use a discount code to register for a Tuesday-Only Day Pass or the Climate Leadership Awards Dinner Only ticket, it will not apply

Does the 2024 CLC offer a group discount? 

Yes, we are pleased to offer an exclusive group discount for the conference. Register three (3) or more team members from the same organization and enjoy a 10% discount off the Advance Rate price (offer valid beginning on February 5, 2024). 

To receive a group discount code, please email [email protected] and provide the names of the colleagues that will be registering with the discount. 

 

My organization is a member of The Climate Registry. Do I get a discount? 

Yes. Current members of The Climate Registry (TCR) & accredited verification bodies, or firms responsible for verifying emission reports submitted to TCR, are eligible to receive a discount. The discounts vary by membership level and can be applied to registration for the All-Access Conference Pass only: 

  • Essential Members – 15%
  • Advance Members – 20%
  • Premium Members – 25%
  • Verification Bodies – 15%

Are student discounts available? 

Yes, our discounted student rate is $595 for the All-Access Conference Pass. This discounted rate is offered to current full-time students only. Please email [email protected] to provide proof of enrollment for approval. If approved, you’ll receive the appropriate discount code for registration.

Proof of enrollment may include: an unofficial transcript for the Spring 2024 semester, class syllabus or class schedule that shows the dates of the Spring 2024 semester, or receipt that you paid tuition for the Spring 2024 semester. You may also be able to request a proof of enrollment document from your university’s Office of the Registrar. 

 

Are meals included with the conference registration fee?

Yes. The meals that are included with conference registration are listed below. Vegetarian/vegan options will be available. 

  • Tuesday, May 21, 2024: lunch, dinner,and a reception are included. Food and beverages will be served during the Welcome Reception, which will take place at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum. Breakfast will NOT be provided, so please plan accordingly. 
  • Wednesday, May 22, 2024: breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Dinner will be served during the Climate Leadership Awards Dinner and Ceremony. 
  • Thursday, May 23, 2024: breakfast will be included. The conference will adjourn mid-day, so lunch is NOT included. 

 

Can I modify my registration after it has been submitted? 

Yes. In your original registration confirmation email, click the link labeled “View or modify your registration.” From here, you will be able to edit your personal information. 

All registration modifications must be made before online registration closes on May 17, 2024, at 11:59pm ET.

If you cannot find your original registration confirmation email, please contact [email protected] and we will resend it to you. 

 

What is the refund/cancellation policy for registration? 

Registration cancellations made on or before February 4, 2024, will receive an 80% refund. Registration cancellations made between February 5, 2024, and March 22, 2024, will receive a 50% refund. Registration cancellations made after March 22, 2024 are non-refundable

If you miss this deadline, you may transfer your registration to a colleague. The deadline to request a registration transfer is May 17, 2024. To transfer your registration, please notify [email protected] and provide the name and email address of the person who will be taking your registration. 

 

HOUSING

Does the 2024 CLC have a room block?

Yes, CLC attendees are welcome to reserve a room in our room block at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. The deadline to reserve your room is May 6, 2024. We strongly encourage you to book early as space within the room block is limited! 

 

How do I reserve my room with the discounted CLC rate? 

The discounted CLC room rate is $229 USD per night plus applicable taxes. Reserve your room using our custom reservation link here. The discounted CLC room rate is applicable only for room nights reserved from Sunday, May 19, 2024, through Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Please note: In the event that the room block fills up before May 6, 2024, the discounted CLC room rate may no longer apply. 

 

PROGRAMMING

Can I nominate a speaker and/or a session topic? 

The deadline to submit speaker/topic nominations was Nov 17, 2023, however submissions may still be considered on a rolling basis. For instructions on how to apply and tips on how to submit a successful nomination, click here. Subscribe to our newsletter in our footer to receive program updates.

I submitted a Speaker/Session Nomination. When can I expect to hear back? 

Due to the high volume of participation, we cannot guarantee a personalized response to each submission. Speakers selected by the 2024 CLC Steering Committee will be contacted in February or March with a formal invitation, followed by further guidance on next steps, deadlines, and speaker instructions.
