Vincent Lee, PE, LEED AP, ENV SP is a Principal in Arup with over 25 years of experience in sustainable site development, green infrastructure and integrated water resource management. He has led multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the design of numerous high-performance, award-winning buildings, communities and city-scale projects across the globe. Moreover, he has leveraged digital tools, modeling and innovative solutions with data and automation to deliver his clients’ projects. In NY, he is the Project Director for the design of green infrastructure for streets and public properties on multiple city contracts encompassing over 2,000 acres in 3 City Boroughs.
Following Superstorm Sandy, he has led the design on multiple resilience initiatives in the NY metropolitan area including: the NYS2100 Commission, NYCDOT and NYC Transit post-Sandy resilience work, Rebuild By Design (Jersey Shore), NY Rising Community Reconstruction Program (Long Island) and NYCHA public housing recovery projects in Baruch Houses and Red Hook Houses. Within Arup, Vincent is the Global Technical Director for Water where he ensures technical excellence and quality across the region in hydraulic & hydrologic modeling, green infrastructure, water sensitive urban design, wastewater and resilience.
He is also the leader for the Americas East Civil and Water Engineering team which includes New York, Boston, DC and Chicago and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil/environmental engineering from Penn State University, a Master of Science degree in from New Jersey Institute of Technology and completed certifications in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge, Smart Cities from University College London and Urban Resilience from MIT.
