Uma serves as North America Sustainable Buildings Team Lead with JLL. She is responsible for guiding occupier and investor clients in aligning commercial real estate with organizational ESG goals. Uma oversees sustainability program and strategy development at asset and portfolio level in addition to providing certification implementation guidance. To date, she has over 100 new construction and renovation projects under her belt and has managed certifications for 10 million+ square feet of space.
Uma holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from India and a Masters in Sustainable Design degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. She is currently a member of International Living Future Institute (ILFI)’s Organizational Equity Advisory board and has served on the Greenbuild Advisory Board in 2023.
