Sean Terry is the Ohio State Director for the Trust for Public Land.
In his current capacity, Sean provides strategic oversight to advance TPL’s mission to connect everyone to the outdoors via the execution of TPL’s core priorities and initiatives in Ohio. To guide TPL’s mission in Ohio, Sean oversees a small program team that includes: land protection staff whose priorities include growing a portfolio of conservation projects across Ohio, and park development staff whose priorities emphasize urban park investment in Ohio – fueled by our mission to bring a park, trail, or greenspace to every resident of Cleveland within a 10-minute walk.
Sean has considerable experience in urban planning and community development, where he has worked in varying capacities to enhance the quality of life in and around communities. For over 15 years Sean has leveraged planning and development to improve communities through facilitated stakeholder engagement and public input processes that put people at the heart of policy. This focus has allowed him to contribute to community vitality in environmental sustainability, economic development, placemaking, bike-ped advocacy, and park and trail design.
Sean is a Cleveland Heights resident and operates out of TPL’s downtown Cleveland office.
