Deepa Vedavyas

Deepa Vedavyas, Director of Resiliency and Sustainability at NOPEC, brings expertise in sustainable development across multiple sectors. With background in architecture and urban planning, Deepa spearheads sustainability efforts with an intersectionality lens and a collective action approach. As former Program Manager for neighborhoods and environment at the Cleveland Foundation, she strategically aligned grants with UN Sustainable Development Goals and pioneered SDG learning cohorts for Northern OH community foundations. During her tenure as City of Cleveland’s Sustainability Manager, Deepa led, the Clean and Equitable Energy Future Plan and LEED for Cities silver certification. Deepa also serves as a co-chair of the UN SDSN USA Working Group on Diversity, Equity, and Justice for Sustainable Development, appointed member of the international WELL Cities advisory and Pro-Reviewer for USGBC course offerings, among others.
