Bernadette Bezy leads Stantec’s U.S. Ecology Technical Discipline which is integral to natural capital valuation, carbon sequestration, and ecological restoration. In the U.S. West, Bernadette is the environmental leader for Stantec’s Ecological Restoration and Western Water Resources Resiliency and Infrastructure initiatives helping public agencies, private entities, and non-governmental organizations plan, permit, and implement climate solutions.
Bernadette’s 25 years of experience spans habitats from deep-sea marine hydrothermal vents to alpine meadows, and from the tropics through the temperate zone, including in over 20 different countries. She lives her passion through hands-on coral reef salvage and relocation in the Caribbean, small-scale meadow reclamation in the high Sierra Nevada, and landscape-scale stream restoration on the largest dam removal project in US History, the Lower Klamath River Project.
