Adam Klauber heads Sustainability and ESG at World Energy, a renewable fuels producer that operates the only commercial-scale sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) refinery in the United States. His primary roles are building a virtual environmental attribute chain of custody system called “Book & Claim” and driving down the carbon intensity of products. Before Adam’s current position, he was a leader for the Rocky Mountain Institute, addressing Harder-to-Abate emissions. At RMI, Adam co-founded the Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance (SABA) with the Environmental Defense Fund. He was also the chief architect of the sustainable aviation fuel certificate (SAFc) concept, a first-of-its-kind market instrument to address scope 3 (indirect) emissions in the supply chain.
