James Bradbury oversees the Georgetown Climate Center’s emission reduction program, supporting state leadership and coordinated engagement with the federal government through facilitation, convening, and analysis. This includes the Transportation and Climate Initiative, a collaboration among 12 northeast and mid-Atlantic states and the District of Columbia to reduce transportation emissions.

James has over a decade of experience working with federal and state governments and stakeholders to help advance climate and clean energy policies. Before joining the Climate Center, James served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Policy and Systems Analysis. Previously, he worked as a Senior Associate at the World Resources Institute and as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives.
